Green Roof Residence — A House Integrated with Landscape
A contemporary residence designed as a quiet extension of the landscape. The project explores a strong relationship between built form, natural terrain, and greenery. The house is elevated from the road level, creating a layered arrival experience with a stepped entry, landscaped slopes, and a partially sunken parking zone. The green roof becomes more than a visual feature — it helps the building blend with the site while adding thermal comfort and a softer architectural presence. The design combines clean white volumes, warm vertical timber screens, large glass openings, and exposed concrete retaining walls. The timber fins provide privacy and shade, while the full-height glazing opens the interior towards the front landscape. The sloping roof garden and terraced green edges create a natural transition between architecture and site. This residence is imagined as a balance between minimal modern architecture and tropical living — open, shaded, green, and calm.
